At the end of a workshop organized in April 2008 for PONs all over Ghana by a group FoAN in collaboration with School of PONCCN. 70 PONs present had a meeting and decided on the need to bring all PONs in Ghana under one umbrella. Five Zonal Coordinators were chosen to help contact all PONs in the country. In March 2009. 2 Pen-operative nurses.
Mrs. Caroline Antwi-Asare and Mrs. Vera Asimah Ackah with the help of Mr. Kwaku Asante-Krobea wrote letters inviting all PONs whose names and contact addresses were presented by the Zonal coordinators for a meeting. 16th May 2009 which was the 1st general meeting day also marked the formation day
